Elvish Yadav apologizes after an FIR is filed following the viral video of him assaulting YouTube content creator Maxtern, claiming that he and his parents were threatened.
A video showing Elvish Yadav physically assaulting YouTube content creator Maxtern, also known as Sagar Thakur, at a garment shop in Delhi gained widespread attention on social media. Subsequently, an FIR was filed against Elvish in connection with the incident. In response, the winner of Bigg Boss OTT 2 issued a clarification, explaining his actions.
Elvish Yadav, who has often found himself embroiled in controversies, addressed the situation in a video where he stated that he assaulted Maxtern due to threats against his parents. According to Elvish, Maxtern had been running a smear campaign against him since August 2023 to boost his own follower count. Allegedly, Maxtern had even threatened to harm Elvish and his parents.
In a lengthy video posted on Instagram, captioned ‘First plan and play victim. My side of the story which everyone should know…’, Elvish presented his perspective on the matter. He expressed disappointment over the tendency of the Indian audience to form judgments based on one-sided narratives. Elvish emphasized that he also deserved the opportunity to share his version of events.
Elvish recounted how Maxtern had been antagonizing him on social media for eight months. He claimed that he had attempted to resolve the issue by inviting Maxtern to his home to discuss matters in person. However, Maxtern allegedly responded by sharing their private conversations online and making threatening remarks.

According to Elvish, he arranged to meet Maxtern at a garment shop after landing in Delhi. He asserts that Maxtern provoked him with threats against his family, prompting Elvish to confront him physically. Elvish also accused Maxtern of orchestrating the entire incident for publicity, alleging that hidden cameras were planted at the scene.
Despite his explanations, Elvish acknowledged his wrongdoing and issued an apology in the video. However, Maxtern proceeded to file an FIR against Elvish, accusing him of attempted murder. Reports indicate that Elvish and eight others have been named in the case and are required to appear at the police station on Tuesday, March 12.
Prior to this incident, Elvish had made headlines for possessing illegal Cobra venom last month and for assaulting a man at a restaurant in January.
