Named the ‘Sudarshan Setu‘, this architectural marvel connects the mainland of Okha to the picturesque Beyt Dwarka island, spanning a distance of 2.3 kilometers. The construction of this iconic bridge, undertaken at a cost of ₹979 crore, symbolizes the government’s steadfast commitment to progress and connectivity.

Prime Minister Modi, during the foundation stone laying ceremony in October 2017, envisioned the Sudarshan Setu as a vital link between the old and new facets of Dwarka. The four-lane bridge, boasting a width of 27.20 meters, includes spacious footpaths measuring 2.50 meters on each side, ensuring the safety and convenience of pedestrians and commuters alike.

Formerly known as the ‘Signature Bridge’, the structure has been rechristened as the ‘Sudarshan Setu’ or Sudarshan Bridge, paying homage to its significance and purpose. Beyt Dwarka, situated approximately 30 kilometers from Dwarka town, holds historical and religious significance, being home to the revered Dwarkadhish temple dedicated to Lord Krishna.

Furthermore, he will inaugurate Gujarat’s first All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Rajkot, along with four other AIIMS establishments across different states, collectively representing a significant investment in healthcare infrastructure.
