Boss Equity of India DY Chandrachud rapped the returning official considering the whole episode a “serious matter” and inquired as to why he was investigating the camera and placing marks in the polling form papers.
“This is an intense matter. on the off chance Court that there is any misrepresentation, you will be arraigned .. For what reason were you investigating the camera and placing marks in the polling form papers?,” the CJI inquired. To the inquiry, the RO said that Court all the polling form papers were at that point mutilated and he was just checking them. “there were such countless cameras that I was simply taking a gander at them,” he said.
The CJI said that plainly he was putting X imprint on the voting form papers.
“Did you or did you not put x imprints on voting form papers?” he addressed.
“There were eight voting form papers, so they were not blended in with the rest,” the RO answered.
The CJI expressed that according to the standard, he can sign the papers yet can’t tick or draw the X blemish on the voting form papers.
CJI peruses out rule and orders indictment
“Rule 11 says you can sign.. in any case, which decide says that you can place ticks or X in those voting form papers.. for what reason were you putting blemishes on those voting form papers?” the CJI inquired.
The RO said that he did as such to recognize the two polling form papers.
“That implies you checked it. he must be indicted. in a constituent majority rule government this can’t be permitted. We will request that the delegate chief select another returning official who isn’t related to any ideological group and let the interaction continue from the stage from it had halted and the recorder general of HC will regulate the method involved with counting and so on,” the CJI said.
“This entire business of pony exchanging which is going on is extremely upsetting. Let the whole video of counting of the votes be likewise created tomorrow early afternoon. Anil Masih says he stamped 8 polling form papers separated from marking others and says that it was finished to check the mutilated voting form papers. We are upset with the pony exchanging which had occurred,” he added.
