The players will have a busy day ahead, with a BCCI felicitation function at the Wankhede Stadium and an open bus trophy tour in Mumbai. Fans can attend the felicitation function at the Wankhede Stadium for free, on a first-come basis, with gates opening at 4 pm. In Mumbai, several roads have been closed for traffic and parking is prohibited on 10 roads.
Team India found themselves stranded in Barbados due to a hurricane, however, they were successfully evacuated from the West Indies via a chartered flight. The team departed from Barbados and arrived at New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport on an Air India flight AIC24WC, also known as Air India Champions 24 World Cup, after a 16-hour direct journey. The flight took off at approximately 4:50 am local time on Wednesday and landed in Delhi at 6 am IST on Thursday. Team India emerged victorious over South Africa by a margin of seven runs in the final match held in Bridgetown last Saturday.
Mumbai Fans to Join Team India’s Victory Procession :
The stadium currently appears deserted, save for the lower stand of the Vijay Merchant pavilion, which offers some shade and is occupied by nearly 100 resting cops. 5 pm : Arrival at NCPA and boarding of the Open-top Bus
5 to 7 pm : Open-top Bus Parade
7 to 7.30 pm : Felicitation ceremony at Wankhede.
Mumbai Police DCP Zone 1 Pravin Munde announced in a video statement on Wednesday that the Indian cricket team will be arriving in Mumbai tomorrow after their victory in the T20 World Cup. A victory procession in an open bus will take place from 5-7 pm on Marine Drive between Nariman Point and Wankhede Stadium. Those interested in attending the procession are advised to arrive before 4:30 pm and assemble on the promenade side, not on the road.
Additionally, a victory lap will be held in Wankhede Stadium at 7 pm. Attendees are requested to be seated in the stadium before 6 pm. It is recommended to utilize the public transport system to avoid traffic congestion.
The Indian cricket team, winners of the T20 World Cup, will be hosting a victory parade in Mumbai this evening before proceeding to the Wankhede Stadium for a felicitation by BCCI. As a result, the Mumbai police have announced road closures.

Veer Nariman Road (North Bound): Closed for all vehicles from Ahilyabai Holkar Chowk (Churchgate Junction) to Kilachand chowk (Sunder Mahal Junction).
Vacha Road: Closed for all vehicles from WIAA Chowk to Ratanlal Babuna Chowk (Marine plaza Junction).
Madam Cama Road: Closed for all vehicles from Hutatma Rajguru Chowk (Mantralaya Junction) to Venutai chavan chowk (Air India Junction).
Barrister Rajni Patel Marg: Closed for all vehicles from Sakhar bhavan junction to NS Road.
Vinay K Shah Marg: Closed for all types of vehicles from Jamanalal Bajaj Marg to Murali Deora Chowk and N S Road.
