2. Inauguration: Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the inaugural run of the train from New Jalpaiguri station. The ceremony included the symbolic green signal given by the Prime Minister to the flower-bedecked inaugural train.

3. Operational Details: The regular service of the train on the New Jalpaiguri–Patna–New Jalpaiguri route will commence from March 14. The train will operate six days a week, departing from both ends.

4. Schedule: The train departing from New Jalpaiguri will leave at 5.15 am and arrive at Patna Junction at 12.10 pm on the same day. On its return journey, it will depart from Patna Junction at 1.00 pm and reach New Jalpaiguri at 8 pm on the same day.

5. Route and Distance: The train will run via Kishanganj and Katihar from both ends, covering a distance of approximately 471 km on either side. It will take approximately seven hours to complete the journey.

6. Coach Configuration: The Vande Bharat Express train will consist of eight coaches, with a total seating capacity of 530 passengers. The configuration includes one executive class, five chair cars, and two driver trail coaches.
